Well, I’ve been talking about starting a brewery, distillery, smokehouse for years. I even have a pretty damn awesome business plan. Just don’t have any money which is unfortunate because as I looked at my business plan that was a fairly crucial component. So instead of talking about it for another 10 years I’m going to start making it happen bit by bit. AS the saying goes “Can’t never could.” I’m going to start cataloguing my efforts here and it will either be an eventual success story or a cautionary tale. This was all suppose to be easy a few years ago as I had some stock options that were going to turn in to millions by now. Hell I might have even started 2 breweries with the cash, but as anyone who has paid attention the last few years, things haven’t really been going that well for many people and businesses and the stocks are a bit skittish and I’m a bit underfunded. So on to plan B.
The goal now is to get my producer wholesale license and get a reasonably good but tiny brewhouse and fermenters in my garage that will allow me to do a bit larger and a bit more professional test batches (there is so much you can do with pure home-brew setups and no lab equipment) and iterate the hell out of some recipes, then do a couple of contract brews at one of the Sydney breweries near me and get the word out and hopefully pick up some investors and like minded souls. Angry Badger Brewing has been my home brew “brand” for years, largely due to the fact that my largely unkempt beard looks like an angry badger attacking my face. I’m using it as a working title for my pilot research but I have an ABN, registered business, and a website so it feels like something real enough to me.

So the plan
- Register the business✔
- Create a website✔
- Get a kickass but affordable Pilot system
- Get a Producer/Wholesale License
- Make some awesome beers
- Sell those beers
- Win all the awards
- ?????
- profit
